Position: Material Handler

Location: Morristown

Pay Rate: $18.76/hour

Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 after 90 days

Summary Description

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for the safe and precise operation of heavy machinery and material handling activities that support production flow, product quality, and shipping accuracy.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Strap pallets using 2-way or 4-way configurations based on customer location requirements and proper dunnage
• Use strapping gun and ergo machine safely and efficiently
• Perform quality inspections using provided samples and measuring tape
• Verify floor documentation is completed and placed in plastic envelopes
• Move strips and finished goods to support production flow
• Operate wrapping machine and replace wrapping rolls as needed
• Strap pallets using conventional methods and hand wrap when necessary
• Use buddy check system when loading trucks
• Inspect incoming board and rolls to verify flute, caliper, and dimensions match purchase orders
• Assist with miscellaneous assignments and general labor duties
• Perform tasks assigned by supervision

• You have previous material handling experience in a manufacturing environment
• You have prior forklift driving experience
• You can safely handle products and raw materials
• You can work with minimal supervision
• You can solve routine and moderately complex issues independently
• You have strong working knowledge of material handling processes
• You can support leadership needs by coaching or mentoring others when needed
