Rate: $27.77/Hour plus .50¢ Shift Differential

Summary Description
With general supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, buildings, and grounds to support safe and efficient production operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform necessary repairs to all production and maintenance equipment
- Pick up supplies from local vendors using company vehicle when needed
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and building equipment
- Maintain and repair electrical, construction, and plumbing systems
- Perform routine maintenance on thermoforming machines
- Complete required job tickets in IQMS, including:
- Opening PM work orders
- Closing PM work orders with project notes
- Adding labor hours
- Recording spare parts used
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, reading, writing, and talking
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Push up to 100 pounds / Pull up to 100 pounds
- You have strong mechanical aptitude
- You have basic electrical knowledge including 480V systems
- You can read mechanical and electrical drawings
- You have good shop math and measuring skills
- You can continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You have manual dexterity and agility
- You have basic computer skills
- You have welding ability
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience
- Plastics and/or thermoforming experience preferred
- Certifications in machine repair, basic automated electronic systems, or chemical spill response preferred
- Forklift certification
- Lockout/Tagout certification
- NFPA electrical training certification
- Welding experience
- Thermoformers
- Hand tools
- Basic shop equipment
- Snow blower equipment
- Forklifts
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Lathe, milling, grinding, and welding equipment
Exposure To

- Maintain accurate spare parts and supply inventory
- Safely and properly use shop tools, equipment, and forklifts
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment

- Accurately charge hours and spare parts to PM work orders in IQMS
