What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collision Estimator position at Topline Auto Services?
Topline Auto Services is hiring an experienced Collision Estimator to write accurate estimates, keep insurance and Manheim work moving, and give customers a clean, professional experience from drop-off through delivery.
We operate body and paint shops across Arizona, California, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. A large share of our work runs through Manheim and insurance partners (DRP-style volume), plus retail and fleet. This is a production shop role—not a dealership service-writer seat.
What you’ll do
- Inspect collision-damaged vehicles, both physically and virtually, and write complete, accurate estimates (CCC ONE preferred)
- Photograph and document damage to company and partner standards as needed
- Write supplements when hidden damage or parts changes appear
- Work insurance adjusters and DRP partners to get estimates approved without leaving money or cycle time on the table
- Coordinate with body, paint, mechanical, and parts so the file matches what’s actually being repaired
- Greet customers, explain the repair plan, deductibles, rental, and timeline; keep them updated
- Help manage intake, scheduling, and delivery so CSI and cycle time stay on target
- Follow OEM procedures and shop quality standards (I-CAR / OEM knowledge is a plus)
What we’re looking for
- 2 years writing collision estimates in a body shop (required)
- Strong CCC ONE skills (or equivalent and willingness to get current on CCC)
- Comfortable with insurance procedures, supplements, and DRP expectations
- Solid knowledge of body, structure, refinish, and basic mechanical related to collision
- Clear communicator—customers, techs, and insurance
- Organized, accurate, and able to handle a busy board
- Valid driver’s license and clean enough record to be insurable
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus at several locations
Schedule
Full-time, shop hours (typically Monday–Friday; occasional Saturday depending on location).
Compensation
Competitive base plus performance (see bands below). Pay depends on experience, software fluency, and market.
