Job Description Summary
The main purpose of this role is to work with our accounting group to produce accurate and timely financial statements for internal and external use. This will include general ledger accounting/consolidations responsibilities performed in accordance with applicable accounting standards. You will work closely with our accounting team and other groups within the Company (including our parent Callaway and the external auditors) to coordinate data requests and assist with financial reporting requirements and communications.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the performance of month end close duties, including the preparation of journal entries and consolidation and submission of monthly reporting packages to Callaway. (30% of time)
- Assist/coordinate with quarterly/annual financial statement and footnote preparation and their submission to Callaway. (20% of time)
- Complete monthly reconciliations for accounts assigned to the financial reporting team. (20% of time)
- Assist in the completion of data requests from internal management, the Callaway team and our external auditors. (10% of time)
- Assist management with implementation of process and control improvements. (10% of time)
- Complete other ad hoc requests and projects, as needed. (10% of time)
Critical Skills & Experience Requirements
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and projects
- An advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word and Excel is required
- Strong organizational and communication skills essential to success
- Communicate effectively with management, coworkers and external auditors
- Ability to work independently and in a group environment.
- Bachelors in Accounting (Required)
- 1 year(s) of experience acceptable, accounting internships considered a plus. (Required)
- 1 year(s) Experience in the Restaurant or Retail industries is preferred if possible. (Preferred)
