Regional Grain Manager (Multi-Site) – Agriculture / Grain Elevator

Job Summary
Topflight Grain Cooperative is hiring a Regional Grain Elevator Manager to oversee multi-site grain elevator operations, logistics, and grain origination across our Western Region locations (Atlanta, Beason, Johnston Siding, Kruger, Tabor).
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in grain handling, agribusiness, elevator operations, grain logistics, and grain merchandising who are ready to step into a regional leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Grain Operations & Elevator Management
- Manage daily grain elevator operations across multiple locations
- Oversee grain handling, grain storage, grain blending, and grain quality
- Coordinate grain logistics, truck dispatch, and transportation scheduling
- Develop and execute harvest grain storage plans
- Ensure compliance with grain safety standards, OSHA regulations, and DOT requirements
Grain Logistics & Transportation
- Dispatch and coordinate grain trucking and logistics operations
- Optimize truck routes, freight efficiency, and turnaround times
- Work with internal teams on grain movement and shipment planning
Grain Origination & Merchandising Support
- Build relationships with farmers, producers, and grain customers
- Support grain origination efforts and customer growth
- Communicate grain market trends, pricing, and contract options
- Maintain knowledge of grain contracts, hedging basics, and marketing programs
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise elevator managers, operations staff, and office personnel
- Conduct employee training, performance reviews, and workforce planning
- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and customer service
Maintenance, Safety & Compliance
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and federal grain regulations
- Maintain safe, clean, and compliant grain facilities
Business & Financial Management
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning
- Monitor operating costs, grain shrink, and efficiencies
- Contribute to strategic planning for grain operations and growth
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in grain elevator operations, agribusiness, or grain handling
- Knowledge of grain logistics, grain storage, and grain merchandising
- Leadership or supervisory experience in ag operations or grain facilities
- Understanding of OSHA and grain safety regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred:
- Multi-location or regional operations management experience
- Experience with grain origination or producer relationships
- Knowledge of grain markets, basis, and contracts
Work Environment & Schedule
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends during harvest
- Fast-paced agriculture and grain operations environment
