Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and review of fund-of-funds partnership tax returns, including Schedules K-1 and K-3.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. tax reporting of foreign investments and income.
- Research and resolve federal and state tax matters affecting investment partnerships and their investors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with practice leadership to develop and implement solutions.
- Mentor, develop, and retain staff through active participation in the firm's mentoring program.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Minimum of 5 or more years of experience working with investment partnership tax clients
- Strong investment partnership tax knowledge and demonstrated ability to independently manage complex compliance engagements.
- Strong Excel proficiency and an interest in process improvement and technology.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Experience with CCH Axcess Tax.
- Experience with large partner populations and complex multistate partnership compliance.
- Experience developing or implementing standardized workpapers, compliance processes, or automation initiatives.
- Experience with or interest in data analytics, AI, automation, and other technologies that enhance tax compliance and reporting.
