What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plate Processing - Press Brake Operator - HME position at TOPEKA FOUNDRY & IRON WORKS?
- Shape various metals within tolerance according to blueprint specifications
- Perform tooling setups, maintenance and operation on multiple machines optimizing efficiency and within equipment specifications
- Utilize database-oriented software to update production status of work
- Machines include
- Adira 500 ton 15’ die bed press brake
- Rolleri CNC Vario Die and Dual Sheet Followers to minimize labor intensive and time-consuming tool changes
- Programmable from 2” V opening to 16” V opening
- Adira 135 ton 10’ die bed press brake
- Cincinnati 400 ton 20’ die bed press brake, 8’ 3-roller plate roll
- Round-O with flat, square and round material dies
- Voortman V330
- CNC Drilling unit capable of Drilling/Tapping/Countersinking.
- CNC Plasma Cutting/Oxyfuel Cutting
- Alltra PG14-12 with 40ft cutting table CNC Plasma Cutting/Oxyfuel Cutting
- Press brake operation experience preferred
- Plate Processing experience preferred
- Experience operating forklift, telehandler, etc. preferred
- Knowledge of construction math preferred

Standard Shift & Shift Differentials: ( Also receive 90 day and yearly performance reviews/raises based on performance )
Day Shift
- Mon-Thu 5am - 4pm
Night Shifts
- 2nd Shift = Mon-Thu 4pm-2:30am
- Modified 3rd Shift = Mon-Thu 6:30pm-5am
- 3rd Shift = Mon-Thu 8:30pm-7am
Night Shift Differentials
- Day 1 of employment = Additional $2/HR
- After 6 months = Additional $2/HR = $4/hr total differential
- After 18 months = Additional $2/HR = $6/hr total differential
Weekend Shift
- Fri, Sat, Sun 6am-7pm
Weekend Shift Differentials
- Day 1 of employment = Work 36 Hours, Get paid 40 Hours Day 1 of employment = Additional $2/HR
