What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator/Welder - TFI position at TOPEKA FOUNDRY & IRON WORKS?
- Navigate tablets to read and interpret drawings
- Lay-out/weld assemblies according to drawings
- Structural - GMAW, FCAW
- Miscellaneous - GMAW, GTAW & FCAW
- Carbon, Stainless, Aluminum
- Overhead crane operation
- Forklift operation
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation
- Maintain and wear all required personal protective equipment
- Previous experience and/or education in welding preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings preferred
- Analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to handle physical workload required
- Good time management skills required
- Motivation to learn and succeed required
- Ability to lift 100 pounds required
- Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Standard Shift & Shift Differentials: ( Also receive 90 day and yearly performance reviews/raises based on performance )
Day Shift
- Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4pm
Night Shifts
- 2nd Shift = Mon-Thu 4pm-2:30am
- 3rd Shift = Mon-Thu 7pm-5:30am
Night Shift Differentials
- Day 1 of employment = Additional $2/HR
- After 6 months = Additional $2/HR = $4/hr total differential
- After 18 months = Additional $2/HR = $6/hr total differential
Weekend Shift
- Fri, Sat, Sun 6am-7pm
Weekend Shift Differentials
- Day 1 of employment = Work 36 Hours, Get paid 40 Hours
- Day 1 of employment = Additional $2/HR
