What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Assist attorneys and case managers in reviewing and assessing the merits of clients’ Personal Injury claims by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing records, documents, and evidence to support early case evaluation and valuation
• Provide leadership and strategic management for a team of case managers, driving excellence through mentorship, support, and rigorous accountability to maintain firm-wide standards
• Drive excellence through consistent performance reviews, mentorship-driven coaching, and rigorous case audits to maintain firm-wide standards and quality compliance
• Establish clear expectations and cultivate a results-oriented culture that prioritizes urgency, prevents case stagnation, and moves files efficiently toward resolution
• Partner with firm leadership to define strategic goals and execute decisive action plans that align team performance with broader organizational objectives
• Support the development of claims from intake through resolution by gathering documentation, summarizing liability and damages, and ensuring complete, accurate case files prior to demand
• Prepare and organize demand packages, including medical summaries, billing summaries, liability documentation, and supporting evidence to maximize claim value and facilitate negotiations
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the pre-litigation phase, providing updates, requesting documentation, explaining processes, and maintaining compassionate, consistent communication
• Communicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage, provide documentation, track claim status, and assist attorneys in negotiating settlements
• Maintain organized electronic case files, track deadlines and treatment progress, update case management systems, and ensure all pre-litigation milestones are met efficiently
• Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable legal rules, firm policies, and regulatory requirements
• Exhibit a high degree of flexibility and initiative by leading special projects and firm-wide initiatives that optimize operational efficiency and support the firm’s growth

• Reduces risk and rework by spotting issues early, making decisive recommendations, and communicating clearly across teams

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6–12 months, success in this role looks like:

• Consistently meets or exceeds team KPIs, with cases progressing efficiently through each phase and minimal stagnation across the caseload
• Maintains a high-performing, accountable team through regular coaching, clear expectations, and measurable improvements in individual performance
• Drives timely settlements by ensuring proactive case management, consistent client communication, and strategic oversight of all active files
• You communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, building trust and confidence
• You support attorneys and case managers by reducing administrative burden and improving efficiency
• You contribute to timely, favorable settlements and high client satisfaction
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• 6-8 years of experience supporting Personal Injury pre-litigation matters on cases in Tennessee
• Proven experience managing and leading a team of case managers, directing case strategy and workflow to efficiently drive files through each phase and toward timely settlement
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience requesting, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and bills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating with a team
  
  

Nice To Have

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate (not required)
• Proven experience managing and developing a team within a legal environment
• Experience in high-volume or fast-growing law firms
• Familiarity with Personal Injury claims processes and insurance procedures
• Experience with case management software (e.g., Filevine, Clio, SmartAdvocate)
• Comfort working in evolving systems and processes
