What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager for Convenience Store position at Topaz Lodge, Inc.?
Summary, Role: Overseeing the daily operations of the convenience store and fuel island & RV park. Managing and motivating a team of employees, ensuring they are well-trained and providing excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ordering products, making product recommendations and ensuring the store is clean and well-stocked at all times. Additionally, you will handle cash management, including reconciling registers and preparing deposits.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the convenience store and fuel island & RV park.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Hire, Train and supervise store staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities
- Oversee all fuel related compliance
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- This is an exempt role and includes managing employee call-ins and schedules.
Requirements (KSA’s)
- Previous experience in retail or convenience store management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and ordering processes
- Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Familiarity with safety and security procedures
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Education, certificates:
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical requirements:
Standing for long periods at a time, up to 6 hours a day
Lifting up to 40 lbs.
