What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Preparation Specialist - Cleaning and Housekeeping position at Topaz House?
General Job Function
This position is responsible for housekeeping requirements in connection with furnished efficiency apartment unit turn-over, and potentially, standard unit turn-over cleaning, when necessary, at Topaz House, a 360 Unit residential rental community located in central Bethesda, Maryland.
It is essential that the Housekeeping Associate reflect well on Topaz House, remaining properly attired and courteous at all times and always responsible for exercising good judgement.
*DEEP CLEANING UNITS - SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY
Primary Responsibilities shall include:
· Removal of linens & towels and laundering at move out.
· Restocking linens and towels in units to be newly occupied.
· Replacement from existing stocks of various consumables, including, when necessary, area rugs, bed spreads, mattress protectors, shower curtains, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
· Cleaning, including bathrooms, kitchens (including appliances) living area floors, etc. May involve deep cleaning and hard work
· Perform washing, drying, folding, and organizing of linens, towels, etc.
· Report to supervisors any observed damage or missing elements in the units.
· Other re-stocking, cleaning, set-up, or administrative duties as determined by Supervisor
The Housekeeping Associate shall report to the Topaz House Turn-Over Coordinator, and in her absence, the Site Manager, or in the absence of the Site Manager, the Assistant Site Manager or other staff who may be designated by Senior Management.
Required Skills:
· General educational skills equivalent to a high school education.
· Verbal communication skills in English, including interpersonal skills sufficient to understand and carry out general directions.
· Must possess the physical strength and endurance to complete the above responsibilities on a fulltime, daily schedule.
· Punctuality and ability to deal effectively with deadlines.
· Attention to detail required to maintain and deliver a high-quality product to our customers.
Job Type: Full-time M-F (8am-4pm)
