Key Responsibilities
- Design and layout automatic fire sprinkler systems using CAD or design software (e.g., AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD).
- Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance and code compliance.
- Prepare submittal drawings, material lists, and fabrication sheets.
- Coordinate design work with architects, general contractors, and other trades.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
- Conduct field surveys to verify site conditions and measurements.
- Assist in project planning, estimating, and scheduling as needed.
- Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards, local authority requirements, and company policies.
- Provide technical support to installation teams during construction.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler design (commercial, industrial, or residential).
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD, or similar.
- Strong understanding of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and local building/fire codes.
- NICET Level II or higher in Fire Protection Engineering Technology (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
