Job Title: Project Manager (Industrial Equipment Manufacturer)

Hourly/Salaried: Salaried

Department: Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager

Summary: The Project Manager is a critical team member responsible for executing the full project lifecycle. This scope spans from initial prospecting through machine design, manufacturing, delivery, and final onsite start-up.

Job Responsibilities:

· Project Planning & Execution

  • Direct Lifecycles: Manage project development from initiation to final customer sign-off.
  • Build Timelines: Plan and schedule project milestones.
  • Control Scope: Track changes, identify potential bottlenecks, and deploy effective contingency plans.
  • Enforce Workflow: Maintain standard project processes and flag unnecessary procedural deviations.

· Stakeholder Communication & Relations

  • Primary Contact: Act as the main hub for all project status inquiries.
  • Align Expectations: Communicate technical details and project timelines to all involved parties.
  • Bridge Departments: Liaison internally between Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to remove roadblocks.
  • Report Progress: Deliver regular activity updates, progress reports, and proposals to the Ops Manager.
  • Nurture Alliances: Build and sustain vital, long-term business relationships with clients and partners.

· Logistics & Field Operations

  • Manage Installations: Supervise large, onsite equipment integrations combining Top Tier and vendor machinery.
  • Coordinate Shipments: Logistics-manage the delivery of finished machines and auxiliary parts to customer sites.
  • Support Customers: Handle daily customer interactions with timely answers to engineering or delivery questions.

· Governance & Improvement

  • Optimize Processes: Identify and suggest continuous improvement strategies.
  • Maintain Compliance: Follow all corporate policies, workplace procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

· Education & Experience

  • Professional Experience: 5 years of direct project management experience executing technical processes.
  • Minimum Education: 2-year college degree with a core focus in Business or Engineering.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or Business Administration.

· Technical Skills

  • Product Expertise: Knowledge of machinery, packaging equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of machine design blueprints and industrial mechanical functions.
  • Software Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD drafting software.
  • Technical Agility: Rapidly learn, test, and apply emerging manufacturing technologies.

· Core Competencies

  • Pressure Tolerance: Prioritize tasks effectively and make sound decisions in high-stakes environments.
  • Self-Motivation: Drive projects forward independently as a proactive, goal-oriented self-starter.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written skills for technical presentations and cross-functional alignment.

Physical Requirements:

· Physical Demands

  • Mobility: Move freely throughout office and heavy manufacturing floors without assistance.
  • Sensory: Maintain clear visual acuity to inspect machinery quality and ensure output accuracy.
  • Communication: Continuous in-person and verbal communication via speech and hearing.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to write documentation and administrative records by hand.

Job Conditions:

  • Environment: Split between a standard professional office setting and a dynamic manufacturing plant.
  • Operational Scope: Requires deep knowledge of engineering setups, administrative methods, and safety protocols.

Qualifications Summary: Requires knowledge and ability to satisfactorily perform any and all duties and functions expected to do the job classification and all classifications assigned. Must be knowledgeable in administrative procedures; manufacturing and/or engineering documentation; work schedules, set-ups, methods and procedures; equipment operation. Must be able to set-up and operate auxiliary equipment. Must be knowledgeable and able to perform safety and shop housekeeping requirements, as well as other associated material, administrative, operational or employee relation matters that affect the work area or assignments. Must possess necessary interpersonal skills, written and verbal, to work productively with others and fulfill job duties and requirements.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
