Our client, a world-leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Manufacturing Information Systems Engineer to join their team at the largest aluminum extrusion mill in North America. This role will focus on driving equipment efficiency and reliability through hands-on mechanical engineering and project leadership. The ideal candidate will work closely with plant teams, contractors, and maintenance staff to lead projects from concept to execution, ensuring system reliability and optimal equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
Lead and manage multiple engineering projects concurrently from concept to completion, ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements. - System Design & Upgrades:
Design and upgrade hydraulic and mechanical systems to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. - Equipment Specification:
Specify equipment, materials, and services required for projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all designs comply with regulatory codes, internal standards, and plant safety practices to maintain operational safety and regulatory adherence. - Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal engineers, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution and integration. - Maintenance Support & Troubleshooting:
Support maintenance teams with reliability solutions and troubleshoot equipment performance to address operational issues. - Documentation & Training:
Maintain and update technical documentation and training materials for plant teams to ensure ongoing operational excellence.

Qualifications:
- Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience
- At least 3 years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification strongly preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
