Top Tier Painting LLC is seeking an Apprentice Painter to join our onsite team in Waikoloa, HI.
Position Summary
As an Apprentice Painter, you will work alongside experienced painters to support a variety of residential and light commercial painting projects. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working onsite in a hands-on environment.
You will help prepare surfaces, protect surrounding areas, and support the application of paint and finishes under the guidance of senior team members—building the skills needed to grow into an independent painter.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with surface preparation tasks including cleaning, scraping, sanding, and patching as directed
Protect floors, fixtures, and landscaping using appropriate masking and covering methods
Support painting tasks such as priming, cutting in edges, rolling, and touch-ups under supervision
Maintain jobsite organization and ensure tools and materials are handled safely and responsibly
Follow quality standards and project instructions to help achieve clean lines and consistent finishes
Communicate with team members to coordinate daily work and address onsite needs promptly
Required Qualifications
Ability to work onsite in Waikoloa, HI and follow scheduled jobsite demands
Willingness to learn painting techniques and consistently follow direction from experienced painters
Basic manual dexterity and comfort using common hand and power tools
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic with attention to detail
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver painting supplies and equipment as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Some prior experience assisting with painting, construction, or maintenance work
Familiarity with surface preparation and safe jobsite practices
A strong commitment to cleanliness, organization, and finishing quality
Ability to work well in a team and take feedback constructively
Compensation
Hourly rate: $18.00
