Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair major household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, equipment replacements, and sealed system work if qualified
- Utilize refrigeration/HVAC knowledge where applicable
- Assemble or disassemble appliances for repair or part replacement
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs completed, parts used, and time spent
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations
- Maintain a professional appearance and deliver excellent customer service
- Adhere to safety standards, industry best practices, and company expectations
- Operate your personal vehicle safely while transporting tools and parts
Requirements
- Proven experience in appliance repair or a related mechanical/electrical field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics and diagnostic materials
- Electrical troubleshooting experience, including wiring and component-level repairs
- Refrigeration and/or HVAC knowledge preferred (not required, but a plus)
- Must provide your own tools and a reliable vehicle
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally in a variety of home environments
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting/moving appliances as needed
Pay: $600.00 - $2,000.00 per week
