Overview:
Top Shelf Provisions, an authorized local purveyor of the Boar's Head Brand, seeks to hire a Food Service Sales Representative to join our team. Many people are familiar with the Boar's Head Brand and what we offer at Delis, Grocery Stores, and other channels. However, we also have an elaborate portfolio of Food Service products. We aim to expand our fantastic products to more accounts across Long Island.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and secure new accounts within the food service sector (Restaurants, Cafes, Country Clubs, etc.)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts to customers
- Participate in Boar's Head training process to learn about our food service portfolio and products
- Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities
- Learn how Top Shelf Provisions fits into the iconic Boar's Head Brand and support the company in any way he/she can
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales and generating new accounts, preferably within the food service distribution industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of food service industry trends and products
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License

Monday - Friday 7 am - 3 pm
Top Shelf Provisions has been a Boars Head purveyor/distributor for over 35 years in greater New York, with all of our business in Long Island. We service over 100 customers from local mom-and-pop delis to Stop & Shop grocery stores. Our program is cutting-edge and will be game-changing in the deli/food service industry. You will be trained by Boars Head corporate, an iconic brand in the food industry since 1905 as well as Top Shelf Trainers. You will be given great hands-on sales and market experience at a store level, interacting with deli associates and end consumers.
