Job Summary
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales and Product Training Specialist, with opportunities for remote work and travel across the country. The role involves delivering product training to channel distributors’ sales teams, installers, and prospective customers to ensure a strong understanding of product features and benefits.
Key responsibilities include delivering both pre-sales and post-sales training, as well as meeting sales targets. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams to develop and enhance effective training materials, conduct both on-site and virtual training sessions, and work with stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
This role also supports all phases of the sales cycle by working closely with installers and channel partners to provide tailored product recommendations and ongoing support.
Compensation includes a base salary plus commission and bonus (if qualified), along with potential equity/ownership opportunities (if qualified).
Responsibilities
- Conduct informative and engaging product demonstrations to educate customers on features, benefits, and usage
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding each client’s needs and recommending suitable products
- Assist customers throughout the pre-purchasing and post-purchasing phases, answering questions promptly and confidently
- Support sales initiatives by actively promoting new products, special offers, and promotions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications, industry trends, and competitive offerings
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
Requirements
- Self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment
- Willingness to travel as needed to deliver training at customer sites
- Proficient in using standard installation tools such as impact drivers, drills, and wrenches
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience in customer service or industrial product sales is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for engaging with people and a strong motivation to continuously learn about new products
- Ability to quickly develop in-depth product knowledge and effectively communicate product details
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Positive attitude, energetic approach, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging product training programs
- Basic understanding of sales techniques and customer engagement strategies
- Ability to lift moderate weights as needed during demonstrations or installations; comfortable using installation tools such as impact drivers and drills
- At least 1 year of sales experience preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with the solar or renewable energy industry is a plus, but not required for recent graduates
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field
Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
