Summary
The Quality Control Supervisor will oversee quality control activities to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and company standards. This role supervises QC staff, ensures proper cleaning, inspections, documentation, and training, and supports overall food safety and regulatory compliance across the facility.
Key Activities
- Supervise and schedule QC staff to ensure effective line coverage.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SOP, and SSOP requirements.
- Conduct plant, pre-operational, raw material, and internal inspections.
- Train employees on sanitation procedures, GMPs, food safety, and chemical handling.
- Maintain sanitation, QC, and inspection documentation and records.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, QA, and Technical teams.
- Implement corrective actions, product specifications, and quality initiatives.
- Support audits, environmental monitoring, mock recalls, and calibration activities.
- Provide coverage for QC Technicians as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Previous QC and supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills.
Educations & Experience
- Food manufacturing experience required.
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs.
- Spanish and English are a plus.
