About the Role
The Engineering Manager will oversee all aspects of our continuous extrusion blow molding machinery and support equipment. This position involves optimizing production efficiency, developing technical skills, and ensuring the efficient operation of EBM equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain plant support systems, including air compressors, central vacuum systems, cooling systems, water treatment, and HVAC.
- Oversee outside contractors for maintenance/repairs, equipment installations, facilities improvements/expansions.
- Develop and implement an EBM training program, train, and cross-train reports for maximum flexibility during peak and off-peak periods.
- Monitor and maintain a clean shop and work areas, ensuring an injury-free environment for maintenance staff and visitors.
- Provide leadership to foster individual performance, productivity, and self-development, promoting cooperation and quality workmanship among employees.
- Be available 24/7 and inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and OEM standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of planning, purchasing policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience in high-volume operations with various manufacturing products and processes.
- Minimum three years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Project management experience is mandatory.
