Summary
SQF Practitioner will be responsible for leading and maintaining our food safety and quality programs in compliance with SQF standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The QA & SQF Practitioner will serve as the primary point of contact for all food safety initiatives, audits, and certifications, ensuring product integrity and supporting operational excellence.
Key Activities
- Manage and maintain the SQF Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Serve as the designated SQF Practitioner, ensuring compliance with SQF Code requirements.
- Lead preparation, coordination, and follow-up for internal and external audits (regulatory, customer, and third-party).
- Conduct routine facility inspections, GMP audits, and verification of sanitation and allergen controls.
- Develop, update, and implement food safety policies, SOPs, and training programs.
- Investigate and document customer complaints, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Partner with Production, R&D, and Procurement to ensure quality and food safety throughout the supply chain.
- Oversee environmental monitoring, Sanitation, HACCP verification, and product testing programs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety and quality.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and GFSI standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Educations & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in QA or food safety, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Certified SQF Practitioner (or ability to become certified within 6 months).
