Job Title: PCB Quality Inspector (2nd Shift)
Location: Wallingford, CT
Pay Rate: $20-24/hr (Based on Experience)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (Temp-to-Perm)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Quality Inspector to support inspection and quality control of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. This position is primarily based in the cleanroom and requires someone who is willing to be cross-trained in other manufacturing processes as business needs require. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring products meet strict quality and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using microscopes, gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Identify defects, non-conforming material, and workmanship issues.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Perform inspections in a cleanroom environment while following contamination control procedures.
- Cross-train and support other manufacturing operations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and customer requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience inspecting PCBs, electronic assemblies, or electromechanical products.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect small electronic components.
- Experience using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and quality reporting.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-A-610 Certification or equivalent IPC inspection experience.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, medical device, or aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with quality systems, inspection procedures, and non-conformance reporting.
