Now Hiring: Custodial Team – Day & Evening Shifts
Top Pro Cleaners is seeking a dedicated custodial team to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for teachers and students. We are hiring for the following positions:
- 1 Full-Time Supervisor/Cleaner (Day Shift)
- 1 Full-Time Cleaner (Day Shift)
- 3 Part-Time Cleaners (Evening Shift)
About the Role
A keen eye for detail is essential to being a competent day porter. Employees must be organized and able to follow a routine that provides regular inspection and cleaning of assigned areas. Candidates should be friendly and accommodating to ensure a well-maintained environment for teachers and students. Skills in operating hand and electrical cleaning tools — dusters, brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners — are required.
The Supervisor/Cleaner will additionally be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the day and evening custodial teams, assigning duties, ensuring quality standards are met, and serving as the primary point of contact for facility staff.
Principal Duties
- Conduct daily inspections of building exterior and interior
- Perform general janitorial duties
- Sweep and mop floors and stairs
- Clean entry doors and glass
- Perform mid-day cleaning of washrooms
- Set up, break down, and clean the cafeteria area
- Organize storage areas and remove recyclable materials
- Assist with custodial work, parts/material storage, and inventory
- (Supervisor only) Coordinate schedules and duties across day and evening shifts; conduct quality checks; train and support cleaning staff; communicate with facility management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting preferred
- (Supervisor) Prior supervisory or lead experience in janitorial/custodial services preferred
- Must be able to push/pull a minimum of 30 pounds
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds
- Must be a team player committed to a quality work environment
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to pass a background check

- Day Shift (Full-Time): Supervisor/Cleaner and Cleaner positions
- Evening Shift (Part-Time): 3 Cleaner positions
Compensation
$15/hour (consider noting a slightly higher rate for the Supervisor role, if applicable)
