We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify hazards, ensure safety protocols are followed, and prevent theft or vandalism
- Manage access control by verifying identification and authorizations for visitors, contractors, and staff members
- Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, assessing situations with calm professionalism and taking appropriate action
- Document all security activities, incidents, and observations accurately in shift reports and logs
- Assist with conflict management by de-escalating disputes and maintaining a peaceful environment
- Support emergency response procedures by providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services
- MUST BE CPR CERTIFIED
- MUST HAVE A VALID SECURITY LICENSE FOR THE STATE OF WASHINGTON
Skills
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security threats quickly and accurately
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems, for effective monitoring
- Excellent conflict management abilities to handle tense situations diplomatically
- Basic first aid training and CPR certification to provide immediate assistance in emergencies
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and loss prevention strategies
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Experience in security or military service is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
