Responsibilities
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and rollback models, to recover and transport vehicles
- Securely load and unload vehicles using proper cargo securement protocols, ensuring safe transportation
- Perform basic vehicle troubleshooting, minor mechanical repairs, and automotive diagnostics as needed
- Follow all safety procedures during vehicle recovery towing and ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations
- Assist customers courteously, providing excellent customer service throughout the towing process
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks to ensure mechanical reliability and safety standards are met
- Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, including experience with towing
- Proven experience in automotive repair, minor mechanical vehicle repairs, or automotive diagnostics
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle mechanics for truck drivers and basic vehicle troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and conflict management when dealing with customers or other drivers
- Ability to operate flatbed tow trucks or rollback equipment efficiently and safely
- Good communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders when necessary
