- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Conduct detailed sanitation procedures in patient care areas, restrooms, kitchens, and public spaces to prevent infection and ensure safety.
- Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and environmental services protocols.
- Assist with waste disposal procedures in compliance with environmental regulations to promote sustainability efforts.
- Document completed tasks accurately in logs or reports and communicate any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize daily tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed sanitation protocols accurately.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Prior experience in environmental services within healthcare settings is highly valued but not mandatory; training will be provided.
