What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant position at Top Honors Pet Care?
We are looking for a kennel attendant for our busy dog boarding facility located near downtown Waxhaw.
Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting runs and kennel areas, feeding and medicating dogs, walking dogs, playing with dogs, bathing dogs and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests. This position involves working both inside and outside, bending, lifting, standing for long periods of time, and the ability to follow multi step directions without assistance. Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively are a must.
This is a physically demanding job and is ideal for those who take pride in their work and appreciate the level of care required for pets.
Customer service skills are a must when dealing with clients and checking pets in and out.
Experience with animals in a professional setting is preferred
Being handy is a plus to help with maintenance tasks around the facility.
Experience with Gingr software is a plus.
We are looking to hire someone for 30 hours per week
Requirements:
Working weekends and holidays are required.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Pass a background check
Have a valid driver’s license
Have reliable transportation
Pass a drug test
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week
