Job description:
-Effectively manager an assigned Territory and assigned Distributors and Manufacturing Reps to increase sales of companies products.
-Actively seek out new sales opportunities using the tools and resources provided by the company.
-The tools and resources included, but are not limited to, catalogs, specification sheets, samples, web information, technical information and engineering resources.
-Coordinate, train and develop distribution partners and Manufacturing Reps to enable them to find additional sales opportunities.
-Provide direct field support of Distribution Sales Representatives with joint sales calls and alone calls when required.
-Provide support to potential and current customers by gathering information and providing solutions with company’s products.
-Develop understand of competitive products and how they compare to companies product line.
-Assist customers with expedites, quality issues, and logistical issues that arise.
-Attend trade shows and other events that further the branding of the companies products.
-Gather intelligence about competitors including pricing, delivery, quality and distribution to assist management in marketing.
-Seek advice and consent from upper management when necessary; maintain good communications with management and other team members.
Qualifications:
BA bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronical engineer or a related field.
-2 years of experience as a sales engineer or in a similar technical sales role.
-Proficiency in Japanese preferred but not required
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
-Business trip required
