Field Services Engineer

Our client, a global Japanese semiconductor manufacturer, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team.

Location: Burlington, VT (supporting local and East Coast clients; travel required)

Salary: $85,000–$92,500 Depending on candidate experience

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least one year of related engineering experience (FSE II)
• Prior semiconductor capital equipment FSE experience
• Flexibility for domestic/overseas travel for training and tool support. This position will support our local Malta, NY client, Burlington, VT, as well as East Coast clients.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, and sustaining capital equipment
• Ability to solve complex technical problems independently
• Preferred technical experience: hardware, software, laser, robotics, optics, vacuum systems
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call work as needed
• Japanese/English bilingual skills preferred

Duties

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for company products
• Inspect, maintain, and manage local service structure to ensure high performance
• Act as a liaison between customers and company engineering teams
• Provide preventive or on-call maintenance for customer equipment in assigned territories
• Work primarily on assigned machinery and assist with the introduction of new products
• Install machines in collaboration with movers and electricians; report any quality issues to the Field Service Manager
• Train customers and internal teams on product operation and maintenance
