Our client a Japanese Energy company is seeking an experienced LNG Development Director to drive LNG development initiatives in the U.S. Gulf Coast region. The role focuses on securing equity participation, tolling contracts, and long-term LNG agreements, while structuring investments and managing project finance, compliance, and partnerships.
Manager or Director of LNG Development
Location: Houston, TX
Type: Full-time Direct Hire- Exempt
Salary: up to 200K (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy, feasibility, and structuring for LNG liquefaction projects.
- Negotiate investment structures, JV agreements (SHA), SPAs, and tolling contracts.
- Oversee EPC, O&M, and related contract negotiations.
- Structure project financing and coordinate with lenders and stakeholders.
- Manage permitting and regulatory compliance (DOE, FERC, environmental).
- Prepare investment proposals, scenario analyses, and board presentations.
- Engage in strategic negotiations with global partners and investors.
- Lead governance and post-merger integration (PMI) activities.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years in LNG project development.
- Expertise in LNG contracts (SPA, SHA, EPC) and project finance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Preferred: MBA or CFA, JV management experience, multinational collaboration.
