Description

Experienced machine learning role focused on building mission-critical AI agents for defense applications. The position involves training, testing, deploying, and maintaining models and collaborating with data engineers and product owners.

Location: O'Fallon, IL, US | Hybrid

Experience

• 3 years of experience within machine learning engineering, data science, data engineering, or software development
• Experience developing applications using Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java
• Experience with software design patterns
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  
  

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree
  
  

Responsibilities

• Train, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning models
• Develop, deploy, and manage AI agents
• Apply best-fit ML algorithms and technologies
• Define direction of mission-critical solutions
• Support critical advancements in the Department of War
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners
• Deliver cutting-edge AI agents for challenging missions
• Guide clients on ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks
• Conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques
• Define ML strategy for defense use cases
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Work on systems requiring advanced cyber security requirements
• Work with Department of War data
• Ensure mission-ready tech that protects the nation
• Complete identity verification during hiring
• Be on camera during interviews and assessments
• Work from a Booz Allen facility frequently under a hybrid model
• May be required to work from or visit a customer facility
  
  

Nice To Have

• Experience working with Department of War data or on systems with advanced cyber security requirements
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Experience with LangGraph
• Experience with model evaluation and AI quality metrics
• Secret clearance
• Master's degree in AI or a related field
