What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seamstress tailor alterations @ dry Cleaners position at Top Cleaners?
We are looking for an experienced tailor/seamstress to work at Top Cleaners & Alterations. Must be experienced. No recent graduates or home based tailors please. Must have worked in a professional setting in the past and can do the alterations listed below.
Pay will be commission based on all work performed. It will equal to a minimum of $25 per hour and up to $35 per hour depending on skill and speed.
All work must be done at our location. We don't allow tailors to take work home.
No English necessary but must be able to read and communicate a little bit to understand the tailoring instructions.
We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates.
We have all necessary equipment onsite.
Experience with the following alterations mandatory:
Shirts
-Shorten Sleeves
-Taper Body and Sleeves
Pants
-Basic and Original Hemming
-Hem with lining and/or cuffs -Replace Zippers (Jackets/Pants/Skirts) -Take in/Take out Waist
-Tapering Pant Leg
-Shorten Crotch
-Patching
Blazer- Taper on Back Seams and Pocket Seams
-Shorten Shoulder
-Shorten Back
-Shorten Sleeves- basic and through arm hole
Dress/Skirt
-Hemming
-Take in or Take out
-Replace Zipper
-Shorten Straps
