General Manager

Are you an experienced retail leader who enjoys working with people and making a difference in your store? We are looking for a motivated General Manager to lead our store, develop a strong team, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive sales and operational success.

Local Community Connection

We are looking for someone who is local to the community and familiar with the area. The General Manager will build relationships with customers and employees and represent the store at occasional local events and community activities.

Candidates must live in or be firmly established in the local community. A strong connection to the area and a willingness to participate in the local community are important to the success of this position.

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the store, including:

• Lead the team in providing exceptional, helpful customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Drive sales and work toward achieving or exceeding store sales goals.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop employees.
• Create employee schedules and conduct performance evaluations.
• Build a positive team culture focused on service, accountability, and growth.
• Manage inventory, including stocking, ordering, receiving, price changes, and inventory flow.
• Oversee shipping and receiving to ensure merchandise moves efficiently through the store.
• Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and world-class store environment.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
• Manage store expenses, bookkeeping, payroll functions, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Execute company promotions and ACE programs.
• Participate in local events and activities that help build awareness of the store.
• Lead by example and create a culture where customers and employees feel valued.

What We're Looking For

• 2 years of retail management experience.
• A strong, hands-on leader who enjoys developing and motivating a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use inventory and store management systems.
• Local to the community and familiar with the area.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and remain standing/walking for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, lift, load, and use a dolly to move merchandise weighing 25–100 pounds.
