Housekeeper and Personal Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking someone with the right talents, skills, and emotional intelligence to fill a hybrid role of Personal Assistant / Household Helper. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine many skills in providing personalized support to two family-owned small businesses as well as a welcoming environment in the household. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness while providing personalized assistance to ensure a efficiently run business & home. You will play a vital role in supporting various professional & personal tasks, managing light household chores, ensuring clean & clutter free spaces with enthusiasm & professionalism.

This role is basically an extension of both of us in supporting our small business activities, daily home operations, including whatever is needed to support two 'empty-nesters' who run their own small businesses but also has a large family to support and help the day/week run smoothly. This role also includes household support, errands, organizing, scheduling, logistical support, and some sporadic pet care with 2 small French Bulldogs.

This role works closely with both of us and our weekly chef to help maintain an organized, calm, and efficient household.

This role is ideal for someone warm, grounded, intuitive, organized, and flexible—someone who enjoys doing research, has good fundamental problem solving skills, ability to juggle & accomplish many tasks, supporting family gatherings, and helping two home-based businesses run smoothly.

Duties

• Perform research as required for a small contracting and consulting business
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a spotless living space.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, folding, ironing, and organizing clothing and linens efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and janitorial practices across all areas of the residence, including kitchen, bathrooms, and common spaces.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing household needs promptly and courteously.
• Manage residential cleaning schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed thoroughly and on time.
• Assist with personal errands such as shopping, appointment scheduling, or transportation arrangements as needed.

Skills

• Proven experience in housekeeping management or janitorial roles within residential or commercial settings.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Experience in laundry management and household organization.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
