The Director, FMS Maintenance, Sustainment & Training is responsible for leading Foreign Military Sales (FMS) maintenance, sustainment, and F-16 technical training programs in support of customer, contractual, and Company objectives. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for program execution, aircraft readiness, technical training, logistics, quality, safety, financial performance, workforce capability, and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct FMS maintenance, sustainment, and F-16 technical training programs to achieve contractual, operational, financial, safety, quality, and customer performance objectives.
- Provide leadership for aircraft maintenance, sustainment, logistics, material support, training delivery, and related operational functions.
- Establish program priorities, staffing strategies, budgets, resource requirements, and performance expectations across assigned functions.
- Lead and develop managers, supervisors, instructors, technical specialists, and other program personnel.
- Monitor program performance, aircraft readiness, training results, schedules, costs, risks, and key performance indicators; implement corrective actions and recovery strategies as needed.
- Ensure maintenance and training activities comply with applicable technical data, military standards, contractual requirements, Company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with government customers, military representatives, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Support business development and capture activities by identifying market opportunities, engaging prospective customers, and contributing technical and operational expertise to proposals, pricing, negotiations, and growth strategies.
- Partner with Business Development, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, Quality, Safety, Security, and other functions to support program execution and strategic growth.
- Identify and implement improvements that increase aircraft availability, training effectiveness, operational efficiency, cost performance, and program scalability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge of military aviation maintenance, sustainment, logistics, and technical training operations.
- Strong knowledge of F-16 aircraft maintenance, support requirements, and technical training environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-functional aviation or defense programs.
- Strong leadership and organizational capability with experience managing managers, supervisors, instructors, and technical personnel.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including budget management, cost control, resource allocation, and program performance analysis.
- Ability to manage customer relationships and operate effectively with senior military, government, executive, and industry stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of government contracting, FAR/DFARS, FMS environments, and applicable contractual requirements.
- Strong strategic planning, negotiation, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to assess program risks, performance trends, and business opportunities and develop actionable recommendations.
- Proficient in the English language with excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP, maintenance, training, or other enterprise systems.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a complex, regulated, and customer-facing environment.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational or customer requirements dictate.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Must not be barred or otherwise restricted from accessing government or military installations required to perform the position.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. security clearance.
- Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the responsibilities of a Director, FMS Maintenance, Sustainment & Training in daily work performance.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience in military aviation maintenance, sustainment, technical training, program operations, or a related aerospace or defense discipline required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience managing complex aviation maintenance, sustainment, training, or operational programs required.
- Significant F-16 maintenance, sustainment, or technical training experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales, international military programs, defense contracting, or government customers strongly preferred.
- Experience managing budgets, personnel, logistics, program performance, and customer relationships required.
- Experience supporting business development, capture, proposals, pricing, contract negotiations, or new program development preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Engineering, Business Administration, Program Management, Education, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Equivalent combinations of military training, technical education, professional certifications, and directly relevant leadership experience may be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods while performing office, customer, training, hangar, and operational duties.
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and safely navigate aircraft, hangars, maintenance areas, classrooms, flight lines, and military installations.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or move equipment, training materials, or other items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively in office, classroom, hangar, flight-line, and other operational environments.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, weather conditions, lighting, and noise levels.
- Ability to work around aircraft, moving equipment, fuels, fumes, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with aviation maintenance operations.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment and comply with applicable safety procedures.

Salary : $160,000 - $240,000
