Position Summary: The 2nd shift Electrician troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and monitors processing and packaging electrical and electronic systems during the evening shift. Qualifications: Current electrician’s license and relevant industrial electrical experience. Experience and license are both required in order to be considered for this position. Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner. Basic knowledge of electronic control systems including PLCs. Basic computer skills including use of MS Word and Outlook. Five years+ of experience in a food production environment preferred Ability to handle/lift up 50lbs. Duties Diagnose and repair problems with electrical and electronic components of processing, packaging equipment and all other plant equipment as needed. Ensure plant compliance with applicable codes including NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA. Provide power and control wiring for selected projects. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment in order to ensure safe and efficient operation. Provide support to management as an expert in code compliance. Research and recommend spare parts for stock and for selected projects Assist QA department in calibration of key equipment on processing and packaging lines Follow all safety and quality guidelines and procedures.
