Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Inside Sales Representative and become a vital driver of our customer engagement and revenue growth! The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while providing exceptional service to manufacturers, machine shops, mold makers, die makers, and industrial customers. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers by processing orders, preparing quotations, identifying customer needs, and recommending appropriate tooling, mold components, die supplies, and industrial products. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Duties
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, lead times, and technical information.
- Prepare accurate quotations and follow up to secure customer orders.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within the company's ERP/order management system.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and shipping departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales through upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new products.
- Maintain knowledge of mold and die components, tooling, industrial supplies, and manufacturer product lines.
- Resolve customer concerns, order discrepancies, shipping issues, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor customer purchasing trends and proactively contact customers regarding reorder opportunities.
- Assist outside sales representatives by providing quotations, product information, and account support.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, and sales activities within CRM or ERP software.
- Work closely with manufacturers and vendors to obtain pricing, product availability, and technical support.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals, customer satisfaction standards, and response time expectations.
- Participate in product training, vendor meetings, and continuing education to remain knowledgeable about industry products and technologies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous call center experience or roles involving outbound calling, customer service, or client communication is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with basic computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities within customer support or client services settings.
- Technical proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and using computer systems for record keeping.
