Job Description:
- This position utilizes various manufacturing and quality skills for part qualification and process development. The applicant must be a self-motivated individual, who while working with cross-functional teams, will help support the development and execution project plans, first article inspections, in-process audits, and part qualification.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Based on major areas of involvement: control plans, first article inspection per AS9102, capability studies, customer specific release duties, Supplier Quality Management, FMEA, visual inspection, internal audits, contract review, calibration, and certification review
- Determine conformance of a product against applicable documents (ex. drawing, work instructions, Purchase orders, specifications)
- Help support customer audits or program reviews
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work with engineering and manufacturing leads to develop process and work instructions
- Assist and train inspectors and other associates on proper inspection techniques
- Build, develop, and execute project quality plans.
- SPC Duties:
- Review SPC data to chart, analyze and implement any corrective actions
- Advance SPC methods: i.e. Design of Experiments
- CTQ data evaluation
- Manage Process Capability Studies:
- Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to implement
- Review data and recommend process improvements to reduce process variation and improve output
- Properly maintain records to support study results.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- College education preferred
- 2-years minimum Manufacturing/Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace or related field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret and read part drawings / blueprints.
- Interpersonal skills to relate to all levels of personnel in and outside the organization
- Knowledge and skills in the advance use of metrology equipment
- Knowledge and proficiency with GD&T methods, Fixture and Inspection methods
- Perform audits of processes for verification to the approved process.
- Be able to perform all the essential functions of an Inspector, including a CMM
- Product release agent for designated customer (DPRV)
- General knowledge of various software packages including Microsoft Office, PCDMIS, Minitab
- Worked in a manufacturing environment under the following specification: AS9100/ISO9000 and NADCAP

Tooling and Machining Technologies, LLC:
- We manufacture molds, fixtures and production parts for the aerospace industry. Our new 25,000 sq. ft. facility was completed in 2016 and all of our CNC equipment is 2006 or newer. The entire shop is air conditioned and heated. We are a growing company with a lot to offer and a great corporate culture.
