Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products or services that meet their needs
- Provide detailed information about products, including features, benefits, and pricing
- Process transactions accurately using cash handling, cashiering, and cash management techniques
- Maintain knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing, discounts, and inventory management
- Utilize financial software to record sales and update customer accounts efficiently
- Ensure the sales floor is organized, clean, and well-stocked to create an inviting shopping environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key
- Strong basic math skills including retail math and cash handling accuracy
- Ability to operate financial software and perform 10 key typing with speed and precision
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers confidently
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately
- A proactive attitude with the motivation to meet sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service
- Knowledge of tools and general construction
