What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Success Coordinator position at Tooele County School District?
- Assist and guide students to work towards completion of state core required classes towards a diploma.
- Work with students individually and in small groups to support individualized transition plan.
- Coordinate with High School teams to monitor at risk graduators and collaborate to create a plan of support for students/school teams.
- Learn and Navigate online Edgenuity programming, and accommodations available to our students.
- Learn and provide accommodations for students to be successful within course work, community, and vocational settings.
- Assist or provide classroom management.
- Support Adult Education Students with Transition activities and access to outside agencies.
- Work with all stakeholders understand IDEA processes and participate in the education of their students.
- Maintain the flow of communication between school and special education staff within high schools, community learning center, adult education, and the district office.
- Ability to implement instructional activities for maximum effectiveness.

- Support teachers in delivery of instructional strategies that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged
- Working knowledge of district strategic plan
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of IDEA
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other professionals, students, and parents
- Maintain effective communication with teachers, and adult students
- Collaborate with educators to create quality instructional environment
- Act in a professional and ethical manner and adhere to all times to professional
- Perform and fulfill contract responsibilities
- Perform tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of position

- 2 years or more of Special Education experience is preferred but not required.
