Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and precision
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with food handling, preparation, and sanitation to uphold food safety standards
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and OpenTable reservations with attention to detail
- Buss tables promptly, clear dishes, and support kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and creating a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale eateries
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and foster positive relationships
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation enhances your ability to answer guest questions confidently
- Effective time management skills to handle busy service periods seamlessly
- Upselling techniques combined with sales skills to maximize revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Experience in bussing tables, host/hostess duties, or nightclub serving roles is a plus
