Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware (bussing)
- Support cooking activities by following instructions from chefs or kitchen managers to ensure timely meal service
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Help with food presentation and plating to ensure attractive and appetizing dishes are served
- Support banquet or event setups by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring all items are ready for service
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks, ensuring efficient kitchen workflow and excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in banquet settings or large-scale food handling can be a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and serve customers professionally
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper hygiene standards is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment
