We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities

• Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely preparation of meals for catering events or daily service.
• Support the Dietary department by preparing specialized meals according to dietary restrictions when necessary.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and safety practices is essential.
• Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
• Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are required.
• A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about menu planning and dietary needs will be highly valued.
