Cook / Kitchen Prep – Full-Time or Part-Time
Tony’s Meat Market of Lindenhurst is looking for a dependable and motivated Cook / Kitchen Prep Team Member to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in a deli, restaurant, catering kitchen, or other fast-paced food-service environment. We are looking for someone who can help prepare fresh food, follow recipes consistently, keep the kitchen organized, and work efficiently as part of a team.
We are hiring for part-time and/or full-time positions, with flexible ours.
Pay
$18–$22 per hour, based on experience, skill level, and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh foods according to recipes and established standards
- Assist with cooking, roasting, grilling, frying, and other kitchen preparation
- Prep meats, vegetables, sauces, marinades, side dishes, and other ingredients
- Portion, package, label, and prepare foods for retail sale
- Assist with prepared foods, catering orders, and special customer orders
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency in quality and portion size
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Properly store, rotate, and label ingredients and prepared foods
- Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Wash and sanitize equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and prep areas
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory as needed
- Work with the butcher, deli, and front-counter teams to keep daily operations running smoothly
Qualifications
- Previous cooking, kitchen prep, deli, catering, or food-service experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Basic knife and food-preparation skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with others
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes, food products, and supplies associated with the position
- Willingness to assist wherever needed during busy periods
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Monday - Saturday 9 am - 6 pm
- Sunday 9 am - 5 pm
- Morning and daytime availability may be especially helpful
- Schedule can be discussed based on experience and availability

Tony’s Meat Market of Lindenhurst is a local neighborhood butcher shop, deli and catering store focused on quality meats, fresh prepared foods, and great customer service.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing good food, works cleanly and efficiently, and wants to be part of a hands-on local business.
Pay Range: $18–$22 per hour based on experience
Qualified candidates may also be asked to complete a paid working interview or kitchen skills test so we can evaluate food-preparation skills, cleanliness, efficiency, and overall fit.
