What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waiter/Waitress position at Tony's Italian American Restaurant?
Job Summary
At Tony's restaurant, we expect our servers to be disciplined, reliable, and punctual. As a family restaurant that has been engrained in the city of Pickens for 40 years, our standards for good service and cleanliness from our employees is at an all time high. We offer paid training, with the pay being $10/hour, however during training you do NOT keep tips, and will be shadowing a seasoned server. Any concerns or questions about scheduling, expectations of the work environment, etcetera when coming in to train can be answered by a manager or owner. If you get an interview scheduled we expect you to show up 10-15 minutes early, and look presentable.
Job Expectations
- Follow your schedule, we work hard to ensure all of our workers are content with their schedule, if we set you a schedule based on your desire of days you want off, we expect you to be punctual, and reliable.
- Cleanliness, we like our restaurant to be clean and organized. As a family restaurant we need to be far more precise with cleaning, so this is expected from any of our workers.
- Reliability, as mentioned above, reliability in following your schedule, as well as showing up when help is needed shows us that you can step forward and be a leader. We expect our workers to focus and work as a team, to ensure that the best of service is given to our customers.
- Reliable transportation, we can not stress this enough, please have a reliable way of coming from and to work. Our staff works like a family, they can help you every now and then with transportation, however you must have your own reliable transportation so we can ensure you will be punctual and show up to work.
- Personal Hygiene, this ties in with cleanliness, we want our workers to be presentable to customers. Black slacks, or pants, and tennis shoes, we will provide a Tony's shirt, however when you come in to training, please wear a red, or black shirt with zero writing or logos. It must be a presentable t shirt.
