Essential Duties:
- Roasting coffee consistently, efficiently, and to current standards.
- Ensure that roasting schedule runs efficiently, accurately, and on-time; schedule pre-roasting to align with production schedule.
- Attention to detail while logging green coffee and use inventory management system to record roasted coffee.
- Participate in coffee cupping, espresso labs, and other quality control activities and continuing education as necessary.
- Keeping up with daily, weekly, monthly and annual equipment maintenance.
- Ability to develop roast profiles and teach specialty coffee roasting.
- Participate in on-the-job training for warehouse and manufacturing processes, corporate policies, safety procedures, GMP Standards as defined by Supervisor and / or Manager.
- Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies, and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
- Must be passionate about coffee and coffee roasting.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment thanks to professionalism, organization skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Have solid math, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Partner with multiple departments effectively.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- This is a Tuesday through Saturday shift.
