Duties
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or specials.
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction, and fostering a welcoming environment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining proper sanitation and food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation or bussing when needed, supporting team efforts during busy hours in both restaurant or nightclub settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining or nightlife venues such as nightclubs.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts with multiple tables or sections.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Experience with server-specific tools like OpenTable for reservations or upselling techniques to maximize sales.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
