Duties
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication techniques.
- Utilize MIG welding, welding repair, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels.
- Conduct auto painting, sanding, and automotive cosmetic repairs using airless paint spraying and sanding tools to achieve a flawless finish.
- Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Execute auto restoration projects by applying fabrication repair techniques, soldering, and sheet metal work to bring vehicles back to showroom quality.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify damage and determine appropriate repair procedures while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly used and stored for safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive structural repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto parts installation, and automotive repair processes.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software, auto glass replacement, auto painting techniques, and automotive refinishing is advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment for various repair tasks.
- Experience working with sheet metal, automotive dent repair, auto restoration projects, and heavy lifting is desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates.
