Food Service Sales Manager Role:
The Food Service Sales Manager’s primary role is to:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and brokers within primarily the food service sectors of National Chains, Institutional Accounts, Manufacturers, and Regional Chain restaurants.
- Manages the securing of new business via new distribution and promotional activity while maintaining direct contact with customers and brokers.
- Prepares and analyzes sales reports for the development of and assessment of new business and existing business opportunities.
- Participate in both regional and national trade show events as needed for the development of sales.
- Ensure profitable sales growth through effective planning and strategic execution against sales goals.
- Effectively works in conjunction with marketing and business teams to penetrate the assigned market area with new products and existing products.
- Having the ability to work independently from home while incorporating frequent travel to designated markets is paramount to delivering Tony Chachere’s Creole Foods of Opelousas, Inc.’s annual sales objectives.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS from accredited university or culinary institution – Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of regional management food service experience to major distributors, regional chains, and multi-unit operators along with single unit restaurants.
- Initiative-taking self-starter with an energetic and optimistic attitude towards working independently and confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Computer literacy with MS Office – Self Motivated with high ethical standards.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to travel 60% of time and attend trade events spanning multiple days.
