What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Attendant (PCA) - Tonkinson Household position at Tonkinson Household?
Work in a comfortable home environment 1 on 1 with a delightful 26-year-old special needs woman who needs help with daily living activities. She is happy, responsive, talkative, and childlike, but is 100% dependent on others for her physical needs. Job activities include bathing, changing, dressing, feeding, helping with exercises, and other activities of daily living. Other duties include redirecting attention, supervising for safety, and participating with her in nurturing activities. Our house has all the equipment to make it safe for her and for you. Must be able to stand, push, pull, squat. No experience is necessary. Candidates ages 16 and up who enjoy working with people and providing positive, loving care are welcome to apply.
Hours:
- M, W, F 3 pm to 9 pm
- Optional and flexible weekend hours available..
Job Details:
- Activities for Daily Living
- Directing activities of play
- Mild physical therapy, such as stretching
- Age of Care Recipients: Young adult
- Diagnosis: Cognitive Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, Hydroencephaly, Epilepsy
- Light housekeeping and basic food preparation
